THE BIGGER PICTURE. one stage, it seemed this might be Salah’s final season at Anfield. The 32-year-old sparked speculation about a summer exit as his contract ran down. However, both he and centre-back Virgil van Dijk ultimately signed new deals to stay until 2027, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
DID YOU KNOW? Salah was also named the Premier League’s Player of the Season, becoming only the fifth player to win it twice after Kevin De Bruyne, Nemanja Vidic, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Thierry Henry.
