Fabrizio Romano has shared the latest update on Luis Diaz and his potential move to the Saudi Pro League.

The upcoming transfer window could represent a major shift in Liverpool’s recent era, with three of the club’s key figures potentially heading for the exit.

Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contract this summer, creating a wave of uncertainty about the club’s long-term direction.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has now reported that there’s a “concrete possibility” Diaz could leave Liverpool in the upcoming summer transfer window.

This doesn’t confirm he’s leaving, but it strongly suggests the club is seriously weighing his future at Anfield.

The Colombian international, now 28, has reportedly caught the eye of several Saudi Pro League teams, who have already made approaches. Diaz, however, chose to stay at the club back in January.

But the uncertainty around his future has been amplified by interest from European heavyweights as well. Barcelona are said to be monitoring the situation, and Diaz is “appreciated by some people in the club.” Manchester City were previously linked with him as well.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano gave more insight into the current status of talks, revealing that Saudi clubs – including Al Nassr – remain keen on signing Diaz this summer:

“Saudi clubs remain interested, including Al Nassr, in Luis Diaz. I mentioned him a few weeks ago,” Romano said.

“I told you Darwin Nunez is likely to leave Liverpool in the summer – Luis Diaz is also a possibility.”

“There was Saudi interest in Diaz back in January. He chose to stay and focus on the season… but that interest hasn’t gone away. They’re still pushing.”

“Keep an eye on Diaz – as we’ve said, it’s going to be a huge summer for Liverpool with many decisions to make.”

“And the player himself will have a say. Saudi clubs will come back – they want Diaz, and it’s now up to him to decide what comes next.”

Diaz’s form this season has been patchy, raising legitimate doubts about his long-term role in Liverpool’s plans. Despite his clear technical skill, he has struggled to consistently contribute goals and assists.

Before the international break, he had scored just one goal in 18 appearances for Liverpool.
