The couple, who met as teenagers in Breda, Netherlands, tied the knot in 2017. Rike previously left her job as a fashion sales manager to support Virgil’s football career, following him to Scotland when he signed for Celtic. She prefers to stay out of the spotlight, focusing on their family life.
As Liverpool enters a new era under manager Arne Slot, Van Dijk’s future remains uncertain. His £220,000-a-week contract expires next summer, raising questions about his long-term stay at Anfield. Since joining from Southampton in 2018, he has become one of the Premier League’s greatest defenders.
