The Miami Heat’s superstar forward is known as ‘King James’.

And the 6ft 8in tall LeBron James showed just why when he showed off his amazing physique while shooting a new Nike commercial in Miami, Florida on Friday.

The 28-year-old – who helped his team secure a second successive NBA title this summer – flexed his muscles and washboard abs on land and at sea while doing the action-packed shoot.

First LeBron was photographed on his bicycle being followed by an army of fans as they made their way through the streets of Miami.

Then he jumped in the ocean where he posed wearing a pair of dark surf shorts which showed off his hulking and muscular tattooed frame.

The star player – who has inked a massive $90 million sponsorship deal with Nike – was also seen  riding a paddle-board.

At one point he flexed his muscles for one female fan before he led a group of followers out of the ocean.

The superstar seemed to be having a lot of fun shooting the commercial in his adopted city, where he has become a cult hero.

LeBron – who surpassed Kobe Bryant as the highest earning basketball player in 2013 by being paid $56.5 million – lives in the ritzy Coconut Grove area of the city.

He has two children with his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson, LeBron Jnr, eight, and Bryce, six, and the couple are planning to get married next month in San Diego.

The basketball superstar – who was born into a modest family in Akron, Ohio – is known for his charitable work away from the basketball courts.

He established his own charity foundation called the LeBron James Family Foundation, based out of his hometown.
