Casemiro agrees deal to join Al NassrCasemiro, after an impressive first season at Manchester United, has struggled to make more than just appearances from the bench or in cup games. According to Give Me Sport, he has received a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, which would make him one of the highest-paid players in the league. Al-Nassr, who are keen to reunite Casemiro with Cristiano Ronaldo, are leading the chase for the Brazilian midfielder.
Although there has been no official contact between Al-Nassr and Manchester United, Casemiro is said to have expressed his desire to leave to the club’s board. United are willing to let him leave for a low fee, between £20m and £25m. Al-Nassr are now working to speed up the process to complete the deal in January, with support from Michael Emenalo, the sporting director of the Saudi Pro League.
Antony on his way out of Manchester UnitedAntony is expected to leave Manchester United in the winter transfer window to join Real Betis on loan. The deal does not include a buyout clause, and Man Utd will still pay part of his salary. In the 2024/2025 season, Antony only played 13 matches, mainly in cup competitions, with a lackluster performance, scoring just one goal and making no assists.
Antony’s move to Real Betis is expected to help him regain his form and reputation in the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Man Utd are having a rather erratic year in 2025. Despite drawing with Liverpool and defeating Arsenal and Southampton, coach Ruben Amorim’s team surprisingly lost to Brighton in round 22 of the Premier League.
Man United target Ruben Amorim’s favourite playerIn the January transfer window, Man United are focusing on recruiting defenders to improve their troubled defense, which has conceded 29 goals in 21 matches. Despite being limited by the Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, United are looking to be more creative in their transfer strategy, prioritizing versatile players who can play in multiple positions to optimize the squad during the transition period.
A prominent target for United is Ousmane Diomande, a talented young defender from Sporting Lisbon, who is capable of playing as a centre-back, full-back and even midfielder. Although Diomande’s contract release clause is up to £68 million, Sporting are said to be willing to let him go for a fee of around £42-51 million. Bayern Munich are also interested in Diomande, but United hope to secure the Ivorian’s signature to bolster their defence and add tactical flexibility to their squad.
