Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson had more than one reason to celebrate as he took his family and friends out for a meal at local Brazilian restaurant Fazenda on Sunday afternoon.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a taste of home alongside his wife Natalia and daughter Helena as well as a number of friends in Liverpool’s city centre to mark Father’s Day in his native Brazil.
But it would have also been a chance for Alisson to reflect on a successful Premier League debut for his new club after he kept a clean sheet in their opening game against West Ham just a few hours earlier.

The happy family were lazing in front of their leather sofa and in front of a collection of balloons to celebrate the occasion. He later shared a photo posing alongside his own father to commemorate the day.

Father’s Day would have been made all the more sweeter as Liverpool ended the first weekend of the new Premier League season at the top of table. Mohamed Salah, a Sadio Mane brace and a late header from Daniel Sturridge capped an impressive start for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
There will certainly be tougher days to come for Alisson, but Klopp backed his new shot-stopper to settle into life at Anfield very quickly.
‘Just be a goalkeeper. Be yourself, in this case, because he is very calm and laid back – and that helps,’ said the Reds boss ahead of Sunday’s visit of West Ham.
‘It’s about making the right decisions in the right moments. It’s all good. He’s settled really quick, as if he’s been here longer than two weeks. That’s all fine.’
