Manchester United has reportedly received an offer from Juventus to exchange their top scorer, Dusan Vlahovic, for Joshua Zirkzee. Vlahovic, who joined Juventus for £62 million from Fiorentina in January 2022, has been a standout player for the Italian club, scoring 12 goals in 23 games this season.

Zirkzee’s time at Old Trafford has been challenging since his transfer from Bologna for £36.5 million. He faced criticism from fans after a disappointing performance in a recent match against Newcastle, which reportedly left him in tears. Manager Ruben Amorim noted that Zirkzee has been “suffering” from this tough period, and a return to Italy could provide him a fresh start, where he previously excelled.

TalkSPORT reports that Juventus is willing to include Vlahovic in a swap deal, as his contract is set to expire in 18 months. The club hopes to avoid losing him for free in 2026, especially given his scoring prowess. However, Vlahovic has also been criticized for missing 12 big chances this season and is viewed as having a limited impact outside of scoring.

There are concerns about Vlahovic fitting into manager Thiago Motta’s playing style, which may contribute to Juventus’s decision to consider a transfer. He currently earns nearly £10 million per year at Juventus, but the club is not willing to match that salary in a new deal, although they do want to extend his contract.
