LeBron James enjoyed a night of high-profile company in Miami ahead of the Lakers’ game against the Heat on Tuesday. Alongside his son Bronny, LeBron attended a private dinner at a luxury restaurant hosted by Michelin-starred chef Michael White. The exclusive event previewed White’s Mediterranean Riviera-inspired restaurant, which is set to open next week. The dinner was attended by a star-studded guest list, including Heat player Bam Adebayo, WNBA star A’Ja Wilson, model Shannon de Lima, music mogul Timbaland, and actress Virginia Alvarez.
The dinner was marked by the presence of LeBron’s close friend Alex Pirez, who is partnering with White to launch the new restaurant, making them both significant guests at the event. LeBron’s limited-edition Hennessy was reportedly flowing throughout the night, but the Lakers star likely kept his indulgences in check ahead of his team’s clash with Miami.
However, on the court, LeBron has faced some struggles recently. In the Lakers’ 109-80 loss to the Timberwolves, LeBron shot just 4-of-16 from the field and committed six turnovers. His performance led to a minus-28 plus-minus rating, the worst on the team. His shooting slump has also been notable, as he’s missed 19 consecutive three-pointers across four games. Given these challenges, coach JJ Redick raised concerns about the possibility of LeBron needing rest to recharge, despite his goal to play all 82 games this season.
Meanwhile, Bronny James, LeBron’s son, was assigned to the Lakers’ G-League affiliate and will be moving between the NBA team and South Bay throughout the season after being selected in the second round of the NBA Draft.
