In their previous two games, the Golden State Warriors have looked to have struck a wall. The Dubs’ fourth-quarter collapse allowed the Brooklyn Nets, who were playing the second leg of a back-to-back, to outscore them 41-28, handing Golden State its fifth loss in 17 games this season. On Saturday night, the Dubs lost 104-94 to the San Antonio Spurs, and now they’re facing late-game woes again.
The Warriors haven’t entered panic mode just yet after two losses, but they’ll need to pull together if they don’t want this mini-slump to turn into something catastrophic. Also, head coach Steve Kerr thinks the squad needs to start over and fix their late-game performance because it was a problem in their previous two games.
“Reacting has to be measured. A couple of games ago, everyone was in a fantastic mood… What transpired in the previous two games needs our immediate attention. I don’t believe it’s related to tiredness. Kerr stated on 95.7 The Game on X (formerly Twitter) that he believes it’s an execution issue.
