The Mavericks’ Regarding Klay Thompson’s return to the Warriors, Kyrie Irving gets candid

A much-anticipated regular-season game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors is quickly approaching. Klay Thompson will make his Warriors homecoming wearing a Mavs uniform for the first time on November 12. Before the game, Kyrie Irving reflected on Thompson’s comeback.

During Monday’s Mavericks media availability, Irving expressed his opinions:

The human element of emotions is the most significant factor. Man, it’s simply going to go haywire. According to Mike Curtis of the Dallas Morning News, Irving stated, “You don’t know how to really feel because you’ve been in a routine with another team for a long period of time… you just start reflecting on all those intentional moments where you spent time with people who really want to win, and you guys were all committed to a bigger goal.”

Kyrie Irving understands Klay Thompson’s feelings upon returning to the Bay Area, having played for three different teams outside of the Mavericks. Irving stated that although Thompson may be experiencing a flurry of emotions, the experience should be somewhat pleasurable.

Apart from that, though, I believe it’s just about having fun. Being able to express gratitude to some of your former admirers face-to-face, and having them reciprocate in their own unique manner Irving went on.Klay Thompson joined Stephen Curry and Draymond Green for a record run of four NBA titles and five All-Star selections over his 11 seasons with the Warriors. When he returns, Chase Center fans will surely greet him with open arms.

Given their strong start, the Mavericks will have a difficult time defeating the Dubs. With an 8-2 record, Golden State leads the Western Conference in the standings. The Mavs aim to move up the standings and out of their current 11th-place position.
