Barkley loses to Steph for the 30th position on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
A Hall of Famer on the NBA’s all-time scoring list has been surpassed by Steph Curry.
In the third quarter of the Warriors’ game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, Curry scored his 23,747th point, moving up to the 30th position on the NBA’s all-time scoring record, surpassing basketball great Charles Barkley.

— NBCS’s Warriors (@NBCSWarriors) November 7, 2024Barkley’s long-standing criticism of Golden State throughout Curry’s time with the team makes the milestone all the more intriguing.
Curry already has four NBA titles compared to Barkley’s zero, but the Warriors star now boasts about himself more than his longtime detractor.
With 23,760 points, Sacramento Kings forward DeMar DeRozan started the day barely ahead of Barkley in the No. 29 place. Any possible pass by Curry into the No. 29 spot might not last long because DeRozan and the Kings play the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.
Curry’s career milestone on Wednesday is just another joyful Boston memory; he also won a championship and was named Finals MVP inside TD Garden.
