Dwyane Wade jokingly thanks his parents for their ‘looks’ and ‘swag’ in the photos from the Heat statue ceremony

On October 27, Dwyane Wade’s statue was erected outside Miami’s Kaseya Center; nevertheless, it quickly gained notoriety for not looking like the NBA player. He said in the caption of a picture of himself with his father, Dwyane Wade Sr., “Thank you Pops for the good looks.”Wade is regarded by many as one of the NBA’s best shooting guards. He played for the Miami Heat for most of his 16-year career, winning titles in 2006, 2012, and 2013.

 

Throughout his career, he had 885 blocks, the most of any guard in NBA history, with Michael Jordan coming in second with 828. He is regarded as maybe the best shot-blocking guard of all time.

 

The sculpture is eight feet tall and composed of bronze. Even though it was criticized for not looking like Wade, Wade personally chose the position and went to the studio several times to make sure every detail was ideal.Dwyane Wade attributes his sense of style to his father.

Dwyane Wade talked about his sense of style and neatness in an interview with Highsnobiety. He credited his father, Dwyane Wade Sr., with always keeping himself clean and well-groomed.

 

He claimed that his father had always been a self-sufficient man. “It didn’t matter whether it was a suit or a sweatsuit; he was just a fly dude.”

Wade has gained notoriety for painting his nails since he retired. He said he liked wearing nice clothes, so it was something he wanted to do.

 

Wade remarked, “I’ve had my nails done since 2007.” “I always knew that’s what I wanted to do: I wanted to be one of those well-groomed, clean-shaven, sharp-dressed men who smelled good.”

Wade spent 16 seasons with the Cavaliers, Bulls, and Heat. In 1,054 regular-season games, he averaged 22.0 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds.
