Things are looking good for Bronny James and Parker Whitfield!

As Bronny, a 20-year-old rookie for the Los Angeles Lakers, begins his first season in the NBA, he has acknowledged that he is still getting used to being away from home and from Whitfield, also 20 years old.

He was picked by the Los Angeles Lakers in June with the 55th overall pick following his freshman year at USC.Rumors began to circulate that Whitfield and the rookie Lakers player were dating when they were seen together at the Paris Olympics on August 7th, cheering on LeBron James, 39, and Team USA Basketball in their quarterfinal match against Brazil and again in the semifinal game against Team Serbia.

Sitting courtside with the newlyweds in Paris was Bronny’s younger brother Bryce James as well.After the United States’ victory, Bronny and Whitfield were seen walking hand in hand through the streets of Paris as they left the Bercy Arena.

On October 3, in honor of National Boyfriend Day, the reported couple took their Instagram relationship to the next level when Whitfield paid tribute to Bronny. (“Friends day! i adore you! According to Whitfield’s Instagram post, “@bronny,” the couple was spotted at a Disney theme park again.Bronny and Whitfield were teammates at Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles, where Bronny played on the basketball team and Whitfield was a member of the softball squad. Bronny is now a student at Spelman College in Atlanta.

Shaquille O’Neal, among others, was among the former players who criticized Bronny’s NBA debut.Whether Bronny was prepared to play in the NBA’s professional league was a concern that O’Neal and his co-host Charles Barkley of Inside the NBA raised on October 22.
