As the NBA star hobbles away in pain, a fan in the stands records Steph Curry’s wife and daughter’s devastated response

On Sunday night, Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha, and oldest child, daughter Riley, watched from the seats as he limped to the bench and then to the locker room due to an ankle injury.

Ayesha and Riley Curry both looked shocked as Steph hobbled to the bench and locker room

The Curry women watched as their father and husband descended to the ground in evident anguish from the front row on the lower level, directly above the exit leading from the court to the Golden State Warriors’ locker room.

Mother and daughter’s responses were distressing and dissimilar.

Riley was in the stands, appearing surprised and covering her face with her hands, but Steph avoided making eye contact with either his wife or the 12-year-old.

After attempting to take it all in, Ayesha turned to face a third woman the Currys were seated with and struck up a discussion with her. After making the ankle injuries that have plagued him for the majority of his career worse, Curry was diagnosed with a left peroneal strain.

Curry will not play in Tuesday night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, among other games.

Curry might not play again until either Saturday’s trip game against Houston or Monday’s game against Washington.

Steph’s basketball career has been characterized by the presence of Riley and Ayesha.

Riley would accompany her father to news conferences when she was a baby, making headlines for trying to grasp microphones and waving at cameras at the age of two. Together, Steph and Ayesha are parents to four children: Riley, a daughter named Ryan who is nine years old, a son named Canon who is six years old, and their youngest, Caius, who was born in May.
