A peroneal strain was discovered by the Golden State Warriors on Monday, although the MRI of injured player Stephen Curry’s left ankle showed “no structural damage.”

In the wake of Curry’s injury sustained during Sunday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, the team’s official X account released the update on Monday at approximately 12:45 p.m.Despite having already injured his left ankle late in the third quarter, Curry exited the court and went to the locker room halfway through the fourth quarter. After the first incident, the training staff had treated him on the bench, but the second time he rolled his ankle, he was forced to leave the game.

The Warriors’ season opener at the Chase Center in San Francisco was spoiled by the Clippers, who defeated them 112-104. Before departing the game, Curry finished with 18 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds in 27 minutes.

The Warriors have announced that Curry will miss at least the next two games. De’Anthony Melton, a guard, hurt his lower back during the game and will be reassessed on Friday, the team also revealed.He doesn’t think it’s too awful because he has clearly sprained his ankle numerous times in the past. After the game, Kerr said. “But obviously, you know, it’s a concern.”

Curry has mostly avoided serious problems in the later part of his Hall of Fame career, despite having career-threatening ankle troubles early in his NBA career.
