Sekou Kone, Manchester United’s wonderkid, is training with the first squad ahead of the game against Fenerbahce.

On Thursday, the Red Devils will fly to Turkey to face José Mourinho’s team in the Europa League.

And, prior of the game, Erik ten Hag elevated Kone from the youth team.

However, the teenage sensation will have to wait for his debut because he is ineligible for selection after being left off Manchester United’s Europa League roster.

He is, however, eligible to play Premier League games and in Europe after January if picked by Ten Hag, who has the ability to change his roster.

Other young players apparently training with the first squad include Harry Amass, Amir Ibragimov, Sam Mather, Ethan Ennis, Ruben Curley, and Habeeb Ogunneye.

Kone, 18, arrived from Guidars in Mali for £1 million this summer.

The midfielder, called “the next Yaya Toure,” piqued the interest of Manchester United scouts during the Under-17s World Cup last year.

He helped Mali finish third in the competition, and his efforts drew the attention of Wolves, Crystal Palace, Ajax, and RB Salzburg.

The manager faces a midfield selection dilemma because Bruno Fernandes is suspended after receiving a red card in the 3-3 draw with Porto.

Meanwhile, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Toby Collyer, and Dan Gore are all injured.

Since joining Manchester United in August, Kone has yet to play for the club’s Under-21s.

However, fans are hopeful he makes his debut soon, with one stating, “Erik is planning to do wonders with the youngsters.”

Another said, “Him and Mainoo in midfield, scary for our opponents.”

Manchester United staged a thrilling comeback to defeat Brentford at Old Trafford.

Goals by Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund cancelled out Ethan Pinnock’s first-half opening.

The Red Devils’ victory will relieve pressure on ailing manager Erik ten Hag, who this week vehemently denied suggestions that he is on the verge of being fired.

On a critical afternoon for Ten Hag and co., here’s how SunSport assessed each United player.

ANDRE ONANA – 6DHe didn’t have much to do for most of the game, but he made a brilliant first-half stop to deny Christian Norgaard.

DIOGO DALOT – 6Good performance by the right-back, who almost scored as he rushed forward but was denied by Mark Flekken’s save.

MATTHIJS DE LIGT – 6.He was at the center of the controversy in first-half injury time after leaving the field with a gushing head wound when Brentford scored from a corner. He already appeared suspicious, as did the bandage that had been placed on his head earlier in the game.

JONNY EVANS -7Continuing an incredible finish to his career at Old Trafford. He was named Man of the Match in the goalless draw at Aston Villa and appeared to be in good form again. He received a standing ovation as he exited toward the end.

LISANDRO MARTINEZ (7Shifted to an unfamiliar left-back position with little difficulty, and was particularly effective getting forward down the flank.

Christian Eriksen – 6.Chosen alongside Casemiro instead of new signing Manuel Ugarte, who was on the bench again, but unable to have an impact in this game despite being involved in Hojlund’s goals. Thankful for the referee’s whistle in the first period, which called play back for a foul following a missed sitter.

CASEMIRO – 5.He appeared to have been absent throughout the summer, but he has returned to the team, despite missing a yard and frequently being beaten to the ball.

MARCUS RASHFORD – 7.Does not perform well on the right, although Garnacho was excellent down the left. The highlight of his first half was a fantastic crossfield ball from right to left that set up Garnacho. Then in the second, he assisted Garnacho’s leveller.

BRUNO FERNANDES -7Tried to organize something from midfield but appeared irritated in the first period. Then, after the break, he demonstrated his talent with that fantastic little flick that put up Hojlund for his goal.

ALEJANDRO GARNACHO – 8After going from right to left, there was a lot of action in the first half, but too many opportunities were missed. In the second half, Rashford made up for it with a stunning strike from Rashford’s cross, earning him Man of the Match.

Rasmus Hojlund – 7He is now off and running with his first league goal of the season, having scored one in Porto to start the season. It had also a cool, cleverly chipped finish. The hope is that this will spark a much-needed run of goals, but he needs to see more of the ball.

SUBSTITUTESJoshua Zirkzee (for Hojlund, 74) – 5Strange decision to make after Hojlund had just scored. His substitute squandered his one half-chance.

Victor Lindelof (for Evans, 89) – 6A change that allowed the supporters to praise Evans’ performance.

Manuel Ugarte (for Casemiro, 88) – 6A late change.
