Boxing legend Mike Tyson has revealed that the reason for the postponement of his first fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul was his diet. The 58-year-old had to withdraw from her July date with “The Problem Child” because of a flare-up of an ulcer.
Although Tyson’s physician advised him to stop training, he has returned to the gym and says he will be prepared to face the 27-year-old next month. Up to 90,000 people are expected to attend the highly anticipated encounter between the two on November 15 at the ATandT Arena in Arlington, Texas.
The heavyweight contest will be recognized as a professional match. Many in the boxing industry have expressed worries about Tyson’s health and criticized the decision to proceed with the fight since it was rescheduled.
“Iron Mike” said he is now “ulcer-free” in a recent interview with Mail Online, blaming his past health problems on his diet. “I got sick because I was eating too much bad food and other stuff,” he claimed.
Prior to his fight with the young American, Tyson claims he is “eating clean” and avoiding “processed foods.” Tyson discussed his thoughts on how the fight may affect his reputation and showed a distinct lack of concern for the criticism he received on the battle’s potential effects on his legendary legacy. His words, “I didn’t take this fight for legacy,” From my vantage point, legacy is actually just vanity.
