The young child was apparently playing on the treadmill at her mother’s Pheonix, Arizona, house when she unintentionally wound herself in a cord that was hanging from the device. She was subsequently declared deceased.

In an interview at the time, Tyson talked about the family tragedy and admitted he was finding it difficult to deal with his daughter’s sudden loss. Years ago, he disclosed, saying, “I was staying in the house, depressed; it was a dark moment in my life.” He also said, “I was beating myself up over” the accident.

“I am attempting to handle it. I have had numerous conversations. He went on, “I’ve joined an elite club that nobody wants to join. “I’ve been told you get over it, but the pain never goes away. I’m trying to heal and going through a process. I don’t know how to manage it, therefore I’m in denial about it. I’m at a loss for words or actions. I’m grateful to everyone who helped me.”
