On Sunday, Steph Curry watched his brother-in-law Damion Lee play basketball against the Los Angeles Lakers. Due to a right knee injury, Lee, Curry’s previous Golden State Warriors teammate, missed the whole 2023–24 season playing for the Phoenix Suns. The shooting guard played in the Suns’ preseason opener after spending more than a year on the injured list.
Curry responded to Lee’s much anticipated injury comeback on Instagram. The two-time MVP posted a narrative and a message on Instagram.
“Happy to see you again!”In the Bay Area, Damion Lee spent four seasons playing with Steph Curry. Despite being a member of the 2022 championship squad, he did not receive a contract offer after the winning season.
The summer of that year, Lee signed a contract with the Phoenix Suns. Curry posted on Instagram, saying that when Lee decided to join Devin Booker and company, the Suns acquired “a good one.”
Lee’s rookie campaign with the Phoenix Suns saw him participate in 74 games. Having surgery for a knee ailment kept him out of action for the 2023–24 season.
After playing ten minutes against the LA Lakers on Sunday, Lee finished with ten points on four of six shots, including two of three from beyond the arc. In addition, he provided one assist and one rebound.

The Golden State Warriors will visit the Phoenix Suns on November 30 for their first encounter with each other. On December 28, there will be a rematch in the Bay Area.
The third encounter between Curry and Lee is scheduled for January 31 at the Chase Center in Golden State. When the Dubs play the Suns in the desert on April 8, it will be the brothers-in-laws’ last meeting.
Curry’s lifetime record against Lee in head-to-head matches is 1-3. This season, the NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers will have an opportunity to better that record.
