In the break-in at his home in affluent Bowdon, Greater Manchester, where the average house price is close to £900,000, burglars stole jewelry, clothing, and costly stuff.

Shortly before robbers stole Victor Lindelof, Lingard’s former Manchester United teammate, during the Swedish international’s January 19 Red Devils game against Brentford.

A source told The Sun: ‘He just wants rid of it after the break-in… He loved that house but didn’t feel safe after that, especially as he has a young daughter.’

During the pandemic he showed off his luxury five-bedroom house in an episode of MTV Cribs and led the cameras to his dressing room where his clothes, 28 caps and 96 pairs of trainers are kept.

Lingard talked through the importance of the room, explaining how looking at the caps each morning puts him in a positive mood for the start of the day.

Lingard shows cameras around his home, he says: “My most prized possessions.

“My clothes, my trainers, my England caps.

“I like to come in here every morning when I get changed look at my caps.

“Start the day off right.

“Puts me in a positive mindset for the day.

He took great pride in his exquisite collection of luxury clothing, which included henley jackets and suits.

The property featured a spectacular outdoor play area with a climbing frame and swing for his one-year-old daughter, as well as a cinema room and swimming pool.

During lockdown, the football player practiced on his garden goal.
