A blow has been given to CONOR McGREGOR after his proposals for an addition on his €2.95 million property were REJECTED by the Kildare County Council.
In Straffan, the UFC superstar lavished money on a luxurious property that had once belonged to the son of former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds in 2019.However, the council has determined that his plans for a sizable addition, which would have featured a private gym and parking lot, are “inappropriate.”
According to McGregor’s plans, the property’s detached garage would be demolished and a one-and-a-half-story addition would be added to the front, side, and back.
In addition, he intended to move and partially subterranean his own tennis court.
There would be ancillary rooms, a gym, and a parking lot in that basement.
The Property Price Register shows that Albert Jr. paid €1.58 million in 2015 for the Paddocks in Straffan, Co. Kildare.
The family home of the former two-weight UFC world champion has a living room, dining room, kitchen, and games room in addition to five bedrooms and six bathrooms.Having previously resided in an opulent villa at the K Club, an exclusive gated enclave in Ladycastle known for hosting the Ryder Cup in 2006 and again in 2015, McGregor is no stranger to the area.
In addition, the house has horseback riding facilities and frontage onto the River Liffey.
Glamorous crystal chandeliers illuminate the tiled space, which opens to an expansive staircase from the opulent entrance.
McGregor and his longtime partner Dee Devlin have several living and dining areas where they may host visitors.
The home game room could be a place to forget long days. or even in his own personal gym, which allows McGregor to exercise year-round without having to sacrifice the comforts of home. With its exquisite golden décor, the master bedroom should serve as the couple’s ideal haven. With four more exquisite bedrooms, they should have an absolute blast decorating for their three kids.
The gorgeous gaming area is the ideal man cave for the creator of Proper Twelve himself, with its sophisticated dark palette of purples and blacks.
According to reports, the couple had first discussed purchasing Eddie Irvine’s house on Killiney’s well-known Vico Road in 2017, where they would have had U2 frontman Bono as a neighbor.
