At a star-studded auction, LeBron James’ high school basketball jersey sells for $1.3 million

LeBron James’s high school basketball jersey reportedly shattered records when it was auctioned off.

The jersey was sold during Julien’s Auctions’ “Legends in Motion” sale, which also included artifacts from Bruce Lee, Taylor Swift, and other celebrities in addition to sports players like Michael Jordan, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, James’ shirt brought in the greatest money at the auction, selling for an incredible $1.3 million (£970,000).What’s The Jam claims that James wore the item at his very first Sports Illustrated photo shoot in 2002 for an article authored by the late Grant Wahl.

Following the photo shoot, LeBron James, who will soon begin his 22nd season with son Bronny James, donned the jersey at a high school match between St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and Archbishop Hoban, a rival school in Akron.The remaining items up for bid include a basketball that was utilized in the “Jam” music video and signed by Michael Jordan. The ball had the words “Best Wishes” written in black marker, and the NBA legend was seen with Michael Jackson in that video.
