On September 29, Phoenix Suns player Kevin Durant observed his 36th birthday by attending an NFL game. The two-time NBA champion and 2014 league MVP enjoyed a memorable day in the stands as the Washington Commanders took on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4.
Washington, D.C., native Durant cheered on his home team as they won the third straight game. Both teams scored touchdowns in the first quarter of the Commanders vs. Cardinals game, which was close, but in the second, things started to go Commanders’ way.
To close the first half with a 17-7 lead, the Commanders’ offense scored a field goal and a rushing touchdown while their defense kept the Cardinals scoreless. In the third quarter, the Cardinals added one more touchdown, but in the fourth quarter, they were again held scoreless. The Commanders continued to locate the endzone in the interim.Following the match, KD wrote a post on X praising the Commanders’ win.
The Commanders, who had won three straight, now stand at 3-1 after beating 42-14. They lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first week of the season, which was their first defeat.
