‘He will be indisputable.’ Anthony Joshua to Destroy Fury and Usyk and Secure Uncontested Title: Derek Chisora’s Pick

In May, the heavyweight championship was decided in a bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

The division hadn’t seen an undefeated fight in 25 years when the British fighter traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, sporting the WBC belt and the Ukrainian the WBO, WBA, and IBF belts.

Split decision went to Usyk, who had a great fight from the beginning and finished it much better. Although he has relinquished the IBF gold that was bestowed upon Daniel Dubois, the former interim champion, he will now fulfill the contractual rematch provision and resume the fight with Fury in December.

This month, Anthony Joshua will face off against Dubois in their first defense; the victor will advance to meet the champion of the rematch between Vitaly Usyk and Tyson Fury.

While speaking with TalkSPORT Boxing, Derek Chisora—who is managed by ‘AJ’s organization and has fought both Fury and Usyk—supported his friend’s decision to knock out both opponents, citing his partnership with Ben Davison, who was Fury’s coach in the past, as the reason behind it.

It will only take six rounds for AJ to knock out Fury, and in round four, he will stop Usyk. I’ll tell you right now. Reason being, his trainer is now the perfect dance partner for him. There are two recordings of him fighting Usyk, and that man hasn’t stopped viewing them. He is eager for a rematch because he wants to fight so much. In his opinion, Usyk should defeat Fury in their bout.

Even though Joshua improved his performance the second time around, he was still unable to answer the unique puzzle that the Ukrainian presented, and he lost both times to Usyk on unanimous and split decisions. According to Chisora, Davison is the perfect person to assist with that.

He finally answered yes when asked if he thinks Joshua would become unbeatable, a dream that the 34-year-old has had for a while.

Sure thing…” To me, the people surrounding him and Ben Davison represent the improvements he’s brought about. They’re paying attention, they’re getting it. Now they’ve come together. Now he’s knocking out his sparring partners, which he wasn’t doing before. All thanks to Ben Davison.

Prior to anything else, Joshua needs to defeat Dubois. Even if he doesn’t think it’s a one-sided fight, Chisora still thinks “AJ” will knock out his opponent in six rounds.
