After Thompson’s July trade to the Mavericks, the Splash Brothers are no longer teammates, but they will always be brothers, regardless of whether they play for the same team or not.

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and the rest of the A-list were in attendance for Sunday’s Las Vegas Aces vs. New York Liberty match. After 13 seasons with the Warriors, four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson signed a three-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks this offseason.

The official WNBA X Twitter posted a brief video showing Curry colliding with Thompson and Dereck Lively, his new Mavericks teammate. ‘Chef’ was not amused and made fun of Lively by saying ‘Ew’ over and over again. For Curry, the pain of parting with his “Splash Brohter” is still fresh. They revolutionized the game and the way NBA teams construct their rosters while winning four league championships.

Seeing Thompson in the Mavs uniform this season will be strange. Curry had yet to fully adapt to that concept in July.

“It’s still weird, man,” he told Marc J. Spears of Andscape. “I really haven’t figured out the emotions yet just because it’s one of those pieces that really won’t sink in until you get into October and you go to the locker room and you’re in your familiar sights and sounds of the Chase Center.”They made countless memories as a duo after playing for 13 years together and became two of the best shooters in basketball history. On separate teams, they will now battle for yet another title.
