They might not start every game, but they were huge. It doesn’t make sense to me at all. You’ll have to pay him £150,000 a week and spend £30m or £40m to get someone else. You won’t get a good deal, and you don’t know what you’ll get. With McTominay, you just know what you’re getting. He is always a good seven out of ten, and sometimes he will be an eight out of ten and get you a goal. He might not always be a nine out of ten.

McTominay’s deal is up in a year, and the Red Devils are willing to sell the Scot, who would be a pure profit for the club since he came up through the academy. Last season, he scored 10 goals, and it might not be easy to find a replacement.
