This summer, Stephen Curry made history by being the first athlete in his career to win a gold medal at the Olympics, and he is making sure everyone knows about it.’
In his Instagram bio, the future Hall of Famer updated his profession from “guard for the Golden State Warriors” to “Olympic gold medalist.”
Let there be no doubt: Curry has extended his contract with the Warriors for another two years. Also, he has stated time and time again that he wants to stay with the one NBA franchise he has ever played for.
During an interview with Marc J. Spears of Andscape in July, right before the Olympics, he was asked if he would be “fine playing with just anyone” if he were to conclude his career with Golden State.
“Isn’t it difficult? “Being a Warrior for life is my dream,” Curry declared. I think that’s doable where I am in my work right now. Even if you don’t win the championship, you can still have a great season. Winning isn’t implied. Achieving victory is paramount, yet it’s clear that you have a realistic outlook. Staying the course doesn’t guarantee it will happen. To adapt to the current state of the league and the current standings of some of these brilliant teams, you must change things up and constantly reimagine what it means to evolve.
I’ll be honest and say that I’m doing things slowly. To keep my joy safe, I believe that’s my only option. Additionally, it gives me the freedom to be authentic while playing. When it comes down to it, when it’s just imagination, I’ll keep making decisions that are best for my career and myself.
“Success is my goal. This is a roundabout way of expressing that I would find it difficult to tolerate someone who is a bottom feeder just for the purpose of remaining in that position. However, in my opinion, that will not be the case.
Curry wants to stay with the Warriors for the rest of his career, but he doesn’t want to be mired in last place in the standings while he’s at it.
In addition to becoming a four-time champion, the athlete just returned from his first Olympics and updated his Instagram profile appropriately.
With a three-point flurry in the waning minutes of the championship game against France, he was anything but a passenger on that gold-medal winning squad.
It was the icing on the cake for one of the greatest basketball resumes of all time, and now he’s supposedly celebrated by posting updates on social media.
