The 4 foot 8 inch gymnast shared a picture of herself with the 7 foot 1 inch NBA legend back in February 2017.

Biles commented, “Hey Shaq,” next to the photo, in which the former basketball player’s midriff is just barely visible.After Biles won her fifth gold medal at the Olympics in the gymnastics team final on Tuesday, the photo went viral at the time and has since reappeared.

“The top of (Biles’) head got to 12 feet above the floor during her floor routine,” a fan remarked when they re-posted the image on social media.She can therefore leap over Shaq. People truly can fly, I suppose.

 

Bill Gates, Spike Lee, and Serena Williams were among the celebrities that attended Tuesday’s French final, which was attended by Biles, who is already the most decorated gymnast of all time.

The 27-year-old took home the gold medal for the first time since Rio 2016 as the American team triumphed handily with an unprecedented 171.296.

 

Having won eight medals, one more than Shannon Miller, she is now the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history. Jonathan Owens, Biles’ spouse, celebrated his wife’s accomplishments shortly after the victory. He wore the gymnast’s medal while they posed for photos.

 

NFL player Terrell Owens shared on social media that he was “witnessing history every time you step on the mat.”

 

“Well done, baby, on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in the history of the Olympics!”
