In Carlo Ancelotti’s first game back in the league after the international break, the England international scored a goal with 16 minutes to go thanks to a superb finish.

Since joining Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in the summer for €103 million (£88.5m), Bellingham has scored 14 goals in 15 games, making an immediate impact.

Plus, with his goal versus Madrid, he joins a select group of club players who have scored more than thirteen goals in the first fifteen games of the season.

After joining Real Madrid for £80 million from Manchester United in 2009, Ronaldo got off to a great start, scoring 13 goals in his first 15 games across all competitions.

The record was set in 1953 by the legendary Alfredo Di Stefano of Madrid and in 1943 by the Spanish striker Pruden, but the Portugal international could only manage to equal it.

While Madrid were hoping to get Bellingham back for their match against Cadiz, he was doubtful owing to a shoulder injury that kept him out of the England international break.

“Jude is fine,” Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Madrid, stated following the match.

Although he continues to experience shoulder pain, he reports feeling well while wearing the protective gear.
