Kylian Mbappe’s Euro 2024 campaign may be jeopardized if he undergoes surgery to repair a fractured nose, which may take at least ten days.

Former France team doctor Fabrice Bryand informed L’Equipe that the timeframe, which would rule out the new France captain from participating in the group stage, was at least 10 days. The French Football Federation stated on Monday night that the player, who was seen leaving the stadium in an ambulance, was receiving surgery at the University Hospital in Düsseldorf.

France coach Didier Deschamps claimed new captain Kylian Mbappe ‘didn’t get off lightly’ following a collision with Austrian defender Kevin Danso in the 1-0 win against Austria, which appeared to have left him with a broken nose.
