It seems that Michael Jordan is one of the few people in the world to own a Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster.

The photo posted to the Hennessey Performance Instagram account shows the basketball star alongside CEO John Hennessey and the 1,817 horsepower convertible. The caption read: “Today is a special day. It was an honor to build a special Venom F5 for a special friend.

As Robb Report previously reported, only 30 cars were produced by the automaker. Designed to reach speeds in excess of 300 mph, the cars cost $3 million, each ordered individually to the car’s owner. The company called it “the world’s fastest and most powerful convertible.”

“We created the Venom F5 to be the ultimate symbol of the hypercar,” John Hennessey said in a statement when the car was announced. “Our 1,817 horsepower “Fury” engine roars behind the open cockpit, with a roar unhindered by the hood: it’s a motoring experience like no other.

Although the supercar maker is based in Texas, it opened a showroom in Miami last September. This may have helped with vehicle deliveries; The background of the image features an address that appears to be similar to Michael Jordan’s private golf club in Florida, The Grove XXIII. Named after his iconic jersey number, it is also luxurious and includes an 18-hole golf course, pro shop, learning facilities and a premium clubhouse.

We previously reported that Hennessey was planning to develop another powerful vehicle: the world’s first six-wheeled electric supercar. Codenamed Project Deep Space, sketches show the vehicle will have a “diamond seating configuration” with a central driving position. All six wheels will have their own motors, increasing mechanical grip. But that’s not the most striking detail of the future vehicle: the automaker says it will develop a whopping 2,400 horsepower. What’s even better is that it could go into production as early as 2026.
