Steph Curry’s Philanthropy Makes Major Investment: $50 Million Pledged to Support Oakland Schools
An additional $50 million is being contributed by the Currys’ Eat.Learn.Play Foundation and its supporting partners in order to increase their financial commitment to the Oakland Unified School District. Lockwood will receive a new outdoor space comprising distinct play structures designed for kindergartners and older students, two brand-new basketball courts, mini soccer surfaces, and a nature exploration area equipped with climbing and leaping logs and stumps.
“I adore it because I get to play with my friends here every day,” Ermias said. Principal Nehseem Ratchford and other instructors are frequently contacted in response to his inquiries.”
The complete Ermias family stands to gain. His residence is directly opposite the educational institution, and he is one of four siblings. His sibling attends Lockwood, which as of late last week had 658 students enrolled, with approximately 65% being Hispanic, over 25% being Black, and an expanding Arabic community as well. In order to pursue great things, the Currys wish to raise these offspring.
