Through a remarkable deed of philanthropy, NBA player Stephen Curry has brought life back to Howard University’s golf department. The four-time NBA champion gave the university a $6,000,000 charitable donation. In addition to reviving the golf program, Curry’s generous donation is a significant step toward broadening participation in and access to the sport. Thanks to Curry’s commitment, the historically black university in Washington will begin offering men’s and women’s Division I golf programs.
