On Monday, May 1, Son TsuSn Kelly Oubre was born in North Carolina, weighing eight pounds, three ounces. “We ultimately chose to give her an original nickname while considering the name Kelly Oubre III,” the founder of SHHY Beauty, who has a 2-year-old daughter Málibu’s age in common with the founder of Dope$oul, tells PEOPLE.
Taking inspiration from Kelly’s monsoon and tsunami-related nicknames, we created TsuSún while retaining the aquatic concept of our daughter Málibu, whose name is after a village with stunning views of the coast in Cali. Shylynn’s pregnancy this time was obviously different; she gave birth to her daughter in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. She continued, “I’m excited to enjoy my pregnancy without the fear and lockdown that has been in place since 2020/21 because I was better prepared for the entire process the second time around.”
