Voting for NBA All-Stars, presented by AT&T

NBA All-Star Voting, sponsored by AT&T, the Official 5G Wireless Network of the NBA, commenced on Tuesday, December 19 at 7 a.m. ET and will conclude at 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 20. Through the NBA App and NBA.com, supporters will have the chance to cast their votes for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game starters.

The 73rd NBA All-Star Game is scheduled to occur at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 18 at 8 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on TNT in the United States and will reach viewers in over 50 languages and more than 200 countries and territories.

NBA App or NBA.com voting is accessible to members with NBA ID, the league’s international membership program. Participants residing in the United States shall be inherently qualified to enter the NBA ID All-Star Voting Sweepstakes, sponsored by AT&T, in which they are competing for the chance to secure a journey to Indianapolis for NBA All-Star 2024. In addition, NBA ID holders who are attending NBA All-Star 2024 in Indianapolis are granted access to member-only pricing, in-venue seat enhancements, and additional benefits. NBA ID is available for free registration and provides supporters with rewards and benefits from the league and its partners.

During the designated voting period, NBA ID holders are permitted to cast one complete ballot daily through the NBA App and NBA.com. Three frontcourt players and two guards from both the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference comprise one full ballot. Every active athlete in the NBA will be eligible for selection.

On special “3-for-1 Days,” fans will have the opportunity to have their votes counted three times for six consecutive days. The inaugural day will occur on Christmas Day, December 25th, from 12:01 a.m. ET to 11:59 p.m. ET. From 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, January 1, Friday, January 5, Friday, January 12, Monday, January 15, and Friday, January 19, additional 3-for-1 Days will be accessible.

In addition to spectators, NBA players and the media will continue to participate in the NBA All-Star Game starter selection process. A media panel will contribute 25 percent of the ballot, while all current athletes and fans will contribute 50 percent. Each member of the media and players will have the opportunity to submit one ballot.

January will feature updates regarding fan voting on the initial three Thursdays of the month (Jan. 4, 11, and 18). The NBA All-Star Game starters will be unveiled by TNT during the TNT NBA Tip-Off presented by CarMax on Thursday, January 25. The reserves, as determined by NBA head coaches, will also be disclosed by TNT during the TNT NBA Tip-Off on Thursday, February 1.

Players will be ranked in each conference according to position (guard and frontcourt) within each of the three voting groups—fan votes, player votes, and media votes—once all votes have been tabulated. The calculation of each player’s score will involve aggregating his weighted rank derived from the combined ballots of the players, fans, and media. As starters for the NBA All-Star Game, the two guards and three frontcourt players with the highest combined scores from each conference will be selected. Voting by fans will determine whether or not two athletes in the same position category have identical scores.
