The Warriors Suffer Embarrassing 114-102 Home Loss to the Heat
On Thursday night, just as the Golden State Warriors appeared to be gaining momentum, they reminded their fan base that their most defining characteristic over the past two seasons has been inconsistency. The Dubs were defeated by the Mi mi Het, 114-102, after returning to their home field to begin their critical stretch of home games. The Heat appeared to be the superior team throughout the entire game, despite the absence of Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry.
There are numerous noteworthy aspects of the Warriors’ performance, and Joe Victory will undoubtedly summarize a few of the most significant ones in the near future. During the entire game, the Dubs appeared haphazard, imperfect, and lack of discipline. Nevertheless, basketball is not strong enough to challenge the greatest players on the court, and neither of Golden State’s most crucial players was present.
The splash brothers achieved a career-high 13 points in scoring. You did not read that incorrectly. Curry had a 3-for-15 performance from the field in less than 32 minutes. He was initially too complacent, allowing himself to be used as a decoy. However, by the time he realized the need for greater aggression, his efforts were consistently thwarted by the Heūt’s defensive strategy. Thompson played only 25 minutes and recorded five assists and two steals, but his field goal percentage was a meager four for eleven.
Although six additional Warriors players finished in double figures, only Andrew Wiggins, Moses Moody, and Travyce Jckson-Dvivis had positive plus/minus records. In just 25 minutes, Johnson-Dvis recorded an additional double-double (10 points and 11 rebounds).
The Warriors required a strong performance from Jonthun Kuming due to the limited availability of Curry and Thompson. On the contrary, he made six errors and was scoreless from three yards out. The young winger for the Worriors has been putting in more consistent minutes, but Thursday night’s loss served as a reminder that a larger role for Kuming will require further development.
The Wrriors will have one day to attempt to regroup prior to their Saturday matchup with the Mvricks.
