Jayson Tatum’s son, Deuce Tatum, is an avid Boston Celtics supporter.
When not playing for the team or on the court, the 4-year-old frequently watches from the sidelines of TD Garden as his father is applauded. As of Wednesday evening, the Celtics led the Brooklyn Nets 2-0 in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
Deuce, who lagged behind 24-year-old Jayson, ran through the locker room in the aftermath of Boston’s 114-107 victory. A video of this was uploaded to the Celtics’ Instagram page.
Deuce entered the game, and 2022 Defensive Player of the Year and point guard for the Celtics, Marcus Smart, exclaimed with elation, “Yeah Deuce!” This elation elicited applause from all of his peers.
Prior to taking a seat, Deuce received a high five from Celtics center Daniel Theis. Someone in the clip exclaims, “He has a little skip to him!”
Additionally, the Celtics captured an image of Jayson and Deuce cohabitating in the locker room. A photo of Deuce seated in a black chair adjacent to his father’s cubby was shared on social media.
Jayson Tatum blocked a Deuce attempt during basketball camp for the Celtics.
Jayson was so taken with the image that he tweeted it with the caption “Nothing better than this father s—t” on Thursday morning.
Before Wednesday’s game, a video from ABC6 in Providence that was posted on Twitter shows Deuce having joy with a basketball on the court at TD Garden.
