The $18.8 M Atlanta mansion owned by Rebouder Of Former LA Lakers Dwight Howard is the stuff of Marvel legend

Dwight Howard, formerly of the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers and now with the Houston Rockets, has listed his Orlando estate for sale despite missing the NBA playoffs this season. Having purchased it in 2008 when he joined the Magic, and paying $7.8 million, he has now listed it for $4.9 million, almost $3 million less than the buy price. Obviously, when you earn over $27 million per year and have a net worth of $100 million, a loss of $3 million after relocating to Texas is insignificant.

Longwood, Florida’s Chateau d’Ussé was constructed in 2008 with over 11,000 square feet of living space on three acres of land on Rice Lake. This Gothic-inspired residence is being offered for sale with its one-of-a-kind designer furnishings, including a male grotto with a bar, billiard table, and three televisions. In addition to the formal rooms, family room, five bedrooms, and six bathrooms, the residence has two unique features. The entrance to the home office is somewhat unanticipated, providing privacy and security, and the kitchen has a distinct, well-equipped prep kitchen that is hidden from the main kitchen. A two-sided fireplace serves both the family room and the man den, and all surfaces and appliances are of premium quality. The exterior features a partially covered lanai with a kitchen and a pool area with a lazy river, seating, a fountain, and a fire pit. There are views of both the property and Lake Rice. Dwight Howard’s Chateau d’Ussé is listed for $4.9 million, $3 million below the buy price. Currently under agreement.
