The Golden State Warriors lost their All-star in the NBA’s opening match against the Phoenix Suns
The former NBA champion will not have the services of Draymond Green on the day of caressing the ball of the former Phoenix Suns runner-up.
Golden State Warriors striker Draymond Green will not play in the Golden State Warriors’ season-opening match against the Phoenix Suns on the morning of October 25.
Green is recovering from a sprained left ankle. He started light training a week ago, started 3-on-3 on Friday and then stepped up to 5-on-5 on Sunday.
Draymond Green missed the entire preseason
Currently, Draymond Green has swallowed the entire lesson plan, but is still controlled in terms of contact. Therefore, Golden State does not want to let him play.
“He’s doing very well, but we don’t feel it’s right to put Dray in the squad with too little practice time,” coach Steve Kerr shared. “We will reevaluate after a while.”
Draymond Green missed NBA opening night for the second time in three years
This was only the second time Green missed opening night in his 12 years in the NBA. The most recent time was in the opening match of the 2020-21 season, when he hurt his right leg.
Kerr has not revealed who will start in Green’s place. The Warriors’ captain has had many experiments in the preseason, but is not yet sure about any choice.
The Warriors play their second game of the season four days later in Sacramento.
