James did nоt suit up fоr this battle in Gоlden State, despite his desire tо play in half оf LA’s preseasоn games. After the game, James jоined his cоlleague Anthоny Davis fоr a playful exchange with Steph Curry, which became a viral mоment.

Curry and James are opponents on the court, but they are good friends off the court. Fans have speculated on what this talk was about, with some supposing the stars were discussing their forthcoming Team USA run and others assuming there was some lighthearted joking about the Lakers sending Golden State home last season.

There was certainly some levity in whatever this talk was about, as all three guys laughed together. It’s always entertaining to witness NBA stars interact in this way, especially after a low-stakes preseason game when everyone is simply trying to get their feet back under them after a long summer.

Neither the Warriors nor the Lakers finished where they hoped to last season, but Los Angeles had a much better run, especially when expectations were considered. Following on from last season, both Los Angeles and Golden State have their sights set on a championship this year.
