Steve Kerr makes sโ„Žo๐‘k๐‘–n๐‘” statement as Golden State Warriors receive zero championship votes in GM survey

The annual NBA general manager survey has been released, and the Golden State Warriors did not receive a single vote to win the championship. Following a disappointing season after their 2022 title victory, the NBA’s general managers do not expect the Warriors to return to the top of the league. When asked about this, Steve Kerr had this to say:

โ€œI donโ€™t care,โ€ Kerr said with a laugh. โ€œMakes no difference. It never did anything for me when people picked us. Doesnโ€™t do anything for me that they donโ€™t, so itโ€™s just stuff โ€“ interesting stuff for fans to read, but nothing helpful or harmful for us. Definitely not any bulletin board material. Not posting that on the locker room wallโ€ฆ I donโ€™t think anybody cares.โ€

After years of being the heavy favorites, the Warriors are no longer in that category. This situation is reminiscent of how they were viewed before their 2022 championship win, so Golden State will once again need to demonstrate that they still have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

The Warriors had a lackluster regular season and postseason last year, which explains why they aren’t generating any championship hype. With the Denver Nuggets being favored in the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference boasting strong teams, Golden State is currently flying under the radar. However, this lack of attention doesn’t seem to bother them.
