Dario Saric received high compliments from “head chef” Steph Curry
Offseason acquisition Dario Saric joined the Warriors. ACL surgery aside, the veteran big man dazzled the Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder in his rebound season. While playing for Croatia in the Olympic Qualifies this summer, Saric excelled.
Steph Curry also seems to like the Warriors’ new big man. Curry said Saric has impressed him in pick-up games at an NBA media day news conference on October 2. Curry said the veteran center should adapt well to the Warriors’ system.
“Chief Chef” expressed satisfaction with Dario Šarić’s integration with the Warriors
“He knows how to play in a motion-style offense,” Curry said. “He was doing it a little bit in his international play this summer. But, even back in Phoenix, when he was there with CP. I’ve talked to him about the way that he sees the game; it’s very similar to the way that we play…He understands how to play. When you can shoot, and you know how to play, and you fill a positional needs for us, that’s huge for us.” – Curry spoke after winning the opening match of the new season.
The Warriors’ roster size is a major topic heading into training camp. Some of the best Western Conference teams have large men. Golden State has carefully selected big players with technique and size.
As a result of this, it is highly likely that Saric will play a big part for the Warriors throughout the upcoming season. It seems likely that Saric will have one of the most significant seasons of his career, given the positive impression he has made on the best player on his new team. This is especially true when one considers the fact that he has the opportunity to play a starting role.
